Grassroots League
JOIN WSA GRASSROOTS LEAGUE!
Offered in both the Fall and the Spring, WSA's Grassroots League is open to all U6 - U10 players in Washington, MO, and surrounding areas. The WSA allows youth players to be active, build confidence, and learn fundamental soccer skills through weekly training and games.
Training sessions and games are hosted at the Stephen J Reust Lakeview Soccer Fields in Washington, MO. Individual players and teams from all over are welcome to join in!
All players will be led by WSA parent volunteers who implement a development curriculum based on principles established by US Youth Soccer.

Fall 2025 Grassroots League
KEY DATES
- Registration is OPEN!
- Registration closes July 31, 2025
- Training begins the week of August 25, 2025
- Game schedule published by August 25, 2025
- Games will be played on Friday nights & Saturday mornings, beginning September 5, 2025
- Games end by the last week of October
FORM A TEAM
During registration, you may either register as an individual or register as a coach. Individuals will be assigned to a team in their age group. To form teams, parents are asked to volunteer as coaches and assistants.
Coaches committed to coaching a team will be provided with a unique link for their team members to register. Upon registration, players will be rostered automatically to their team.
TEAM COACHES
Parent volunteers coach teams. Washington Soccer Academy will support and educate each coach by providing weekly training sessions and hosting coaching education clinics. These resources will give each coach the foundation for teaching age-appropriate skills through activities and enjoyable games.
All coaches and managers must pass a background check, be Heads Up certified, and be SafeSport certified. Coaches who complete a minimum of the MYSA Foundations of Coaching Course will receive one registration fee refund.
SCHEDULE
Training at Washington Lakeview Soccer Park may occur on weeknights, per the coach's request & availability; Monday through Thursday. Games may be played on Friday evening, Saturday, or Sunday.
